Sample Rides

Note: these are just some examples, rides will be tailored to your standard and requirements. With each guided ride there are variations, extensions and shortcuts that can be adapted to the suit the weather conditions, riding ability and fitness levels of the group.

Macclesfield Forest, Cat & Fiddle, Wildboarclough, Macclesfield Forest Visitor Centre

Starting Point: Macclesfield train station
The great thing about being based in Macc is you can hop of the train and be riding cross country in a matter of minutes.

A beautiful scenic guided ride into the Dark Peak hills and moorlands around Macclesfield Forest. The full route is a testing route but is rideable all the way round with a reasonable level of fitness. Exposed high moorland crossings and some superb rocky descents really give you a taste of what mountain biking in the Dark Peak Area of the Peak District National Park is all about.

Mam Tor, Edale, Derwent Valley, Bamford, Hope, Castleton

Starting Point: Mam Tor Car Park

This route includes some of the best ascents and descents available in the Peak District, with beautiful views of the hills and valleys, hard work but very rewarding. You will need to be at the top of your mountain biking skills and fitness to complete this killer loop. But there are lots of variations of this loop to make it shorter and a little less challenging.

Hayfield, Chinley, Birch Vale, Rowarth

Starting Point: Hayfield Visitor Centre

A great route, tucked away from some of the more popular trails, with testing climbs and descents that will have you grinning from ear to ear, in either pain or exhilaration!
